«Sjeldenutfordringen – nødvendigheten av internasjonalt samarbeid»
Sjeldenfeltet treffer hele helsetjenesten, og konseptet er selve ideen bak presisjonsmedisin: behandling tilpasset den enkeltes særegenheter. I de senere år har presisjonsdiagnostikk gitt oss mer informasjon om sykdomsbiologi, og store sykdomsgrupper kan nå deles inn i mindre. Dermed blir flere sykdommer nå regnet som sjeldne. Utfordringer innen diagnostikk og behandling av sjeldne sykdommer rammer dermed helsetjenesten i økende grad. Konferansen ønsker å belyse utfordringer og løsningsmuligheter både innen diagnostikk og behandling, inkludert dets praktiske, juridiske og etiske utfordringer.
